Guest Jill Brown: Quiet Wisdom
I am happy to introduce Jill Brown of Advance Life Coaching to the podcast.
Jill C Brown is a 30-year entrepreneur, founder of Advance Life Coaching. She is a Certified Life Coach with a personal focus in Positive Psychology, an Advanced Practitioner of Conversational Intelligence, the creator of
Soul Avatar ™ Lighthouse Navigation System, and most recently a certified Clutter Clearing Coach using the Linn method.
Jill C Brown describes herself as an energy-shift Life Coach, and she customizes her coaching approach to each client to help them connect to their soul-energy to shift into possibilities.
Over the course of Jill's episodes, I invite you to listen to her calming voice and feel the sublime energy of her experienced wisdom.
You can find her at facebook.com/groups/Advance Life Coaching.
Ep 7 The Energy of Things
When it comes to decluttering, Jill shares that it's not just moving things in or out or around. It's about the energy of it all.
Ep 8 Resting in Silence
In Episode 7, Jill shared about the energy of things, specifically with regard to decluttering. She continues talking about something she is considering and what it looks like to allow the energy to move of its own accord.
Ep 9 Skimming Off
We continue our conversation with Jill Brown of Advance Life Coaching. She dives deeper into the power of silence and illuminates a metaphor for us, one of skimming off sediment that rises to the top of a pond. No need to analyze it, just let it go.
Notice the periods of silence in the conversation. Notice any discomfort you have and allow it as you notice that it fills with wisdom.
Ep 10 Silence as Presence
How comfortable are you with silence? Jill and I talk about extended periods of silence in this episode and how, when used correctly, people are able to go deeper into their own thinking and communicate more effectively.
Ep 11 Loving Others
We can love others from afar. Loving others doesn't mean we need to be anyone's doormat, as it precludes the love of ourselves.
Jill gives us her perspective on loving others when it's not necessarily comfortable to be around them.
Ep 12 Personal Transformation
Today my guest Jill Brown returns, and she talks to us as she works through her own definition of personal transformation in an attempt to help me with something that I was working on.
Watch as she works through her own wisdom, peppered with spaces of silence that nurture her own thinking.
Ep 13 Six and Nine Perspectives
I see a 6 but you see a 9. What are we to do? Jill Brown is back with her wisdom on differing perspectives.
Ep 14 Strawberry Jam
Sometimes a simple, yet elegant metaphor is all we need to integrate a concept. My guest Jill does this today with strawberry jam.
Ep 15 Pivot Perspective
I ask Jill what a pivot moment for her was in letting go of some consensus thinking, a limiting assumption. Jill's answer is fascinating. This episode is on the longer side but worth the listen!
Ep 16 The Abundance of Wishing Others Well
When it comes to Law of Attraction and Abundance Thinking, the focus seems to more on what we can attract for ourselves than what we can wish for others, but they go hand in hand.
Listen to Jill's beautiful wisdom on this.
Ep 17 Coats and Labels
What if we're all just trying life on for size? In this episode, Jill Brown joins us again and she talks about coats and labels. And if we can try one coat on, we can take that off and try on another. And a label only sticks to us if we don't treat it like a coat.
Ep 18 Sitting with Melancholy
You might think that sitting with melancholy or some other uncomfortable feeling might make it worse, but according to my guest Jill Brown, that's not necessarily so. Here, she tells us what she has experienced.
Ep 19 Synchronicity
"What are the odds?" we think to ourselves. What indeed are the odds of worlds and events converging to make things happen? Maybe they are greater than we think!
Jill Brown shares some fortunate findings that were happening in the background to seemingly orchestrate her meeting her now husband Chris. Was it mere chance? Coincidence? Convergence? Synchronicity?
Food for thought. What unknown things converged to bring you to where you are today?
NOTE: Episode 20 fell on a Wednesday, and all Wednesday episodes are dedicated to the power of words.
Ep 21 Service and Purpose
I ask Jill Brown in our final episode of this series, "How can I serve you?" Her answer is both unexpected and sublime in its honesty and its simplicity.
She finishes the episode by talking about purpose. Instead of "What is my purpose?" we might ask "What is the purpose of life?" and then align with that.
Thank you, Jill, for coming to the EDG to share all of your bits of wisdom.
I hope you have enjoyed spending time with Jill as much as I did!
